Our Story

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) USA District Society stands as a prominent diasporian branch within the ICAN network. Situated specifically in the United States, it caters to ICAN members residing in the USA, as well as Accounting Professionals who desire affiliation with the body. The District Society offers such individuals convenient access to district-level ICAN services upon relocation.

This district also serves as a vital hub for professional networking, continuing education, and regulatory adherence within the global ICAN community, ensuring seamless integration and support for Nigerian chartered accountants pursuing their careers in the United States.

ICAN-USA & District Society was established under the laws of the United States in 2008 as a 501(c)(6) organization by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
